大宮の集合住宅/ Apartment in Omiya
建築概要
敷地は巨大ターミナルの大宮駅から至近の、商業施設とオフィスビルが並ぶ大通りと歓楽街通りの交差点角地。店舗と賃貸集合住宅、オーナー住居で構成された複合ビルである。最上階のオーナー住居は部屋数が多くそれぞれ外に繋がるテラスや坪庭をもつ。個室はそれぞれ上下階で重なることなく配置され、大きさと比率の異なる直方体の箱として分散している。上下階で収納部屋、階段が中心に据えられ大きく回遊できる構成である。都会でありながら空が近く感じられ、街の喧騒から遠く静かな環境を得た。この地に住み慣れた住まい手の生活感がそのまま立ち上がった建物であり、雑多な街のコーナーに建築の構成がしっかりと可視化できる明快な輪郭を置こうと考えた。

The site is located near Omiya Station, a huge terminal, at the corner of an intersection of a main street and an entertainment district street lined with commercial facilities and office buildings. The building complex consists of retail stores, rental housing, and the owner's residence. The owner's residence on the top floor has a large number of rooms, each with a terrace and tsuboniwa (small garden) leading outside. The private rooms are arranged on the upper and lower floors without overlapping each other, and are distributed as rectangular boxes of different sizes and proportions. Storage rooms and staircases are placed in the center of the upper and lower floors, allowing for a large circulation. Despite being in the city, the sky feels close by, and a quiet environment is obtained far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The building is a building that directly reflects the lifestyle of the residents who are accustomed to living in this area, and we wanted to place a clear outline of the architectural structure in a corner of the chaotic city that can be clearly visualized.
