建築概要
「窓辺100ｍのコネクティングカウンター」
表参道ハナエモリビル建て替え後の新築ビルのワンフロア。眼鏡会社の本社オフィス・インテリア（990㎡）。
眺望のよい外周4面を社員全員が使える共有スペースとして計画。誰もが気軽に行き来し、ちょっとした立ち話や打ち合わせ、少人数での気軽なミーティング、電話、お茶や食事などができるスペースが、外壁ガラス面に沿って展開する。受付から始まって、打ち合わせ机、ベンチ、カウンター、社長・会長デスク、役員テーブルへと変化する家具をひと繋がりに置く。内部の執務空間（120席）と外側に緩い境界をつくり、窓面との距離を図りながら設定された長いカウンターに拠って、外部へとつながる「縁側のようなスペース（中間領域）」を展開した。
オフィスでの「窓際」のイメージはよくないが、眼下にケヤキ並木が望める表参道沿いのカフェならば、そこは特等席になる。スタッフの上下の垣根を越えてコミュニケーションを円滑にする「とても長い家具」を「コネクティングカウンター」と名付けた。

Connecting counters with 100m window sills.”
One floor of the new building after reconstruction of Omotesando Hanae Mori Building. Head office and interior (990 m2) for an eyeglass company. Four sides of the perimeter with a great view were planned as a common space for all employees to use. The space is designed along the exterior glass walls where anyone can easily come and go, have a quick chat, a meeting, a small casual meeting, a phone call, a cup of tea, a meal, etc. Furniture is arranged in a series, starting with the reception desk, then moving to the meeting desks, benches, counters, the president/chairman's desk, and the executive table. A loose boundary was created between the interior office space (120 seats) and the exterior, and a long counter, set at a distance from the window, was used to create an “edge-like space (intermediate area)” leading to the exterior.The image of “by the window” in an office is not good, but in a café along Omotesando where you can see the zelkova trees below, it is a special seat. We named the “connecting counter” a “very long piece of furniture” that facilitates communication across the barriers between upper and lower levels of staff.
